Meet Emily, Columbus's brow expert.
Originally from Carmel, Indiana, Emily moved to Columbus, Ohio in 2019 after completing her Bachelors of Arts degree from Indiana University. Since 2016, Emily has been traveling around the country working as a makeup artist for Games Done Quick. Her work there included applying camera-ready makeup to prepare on-screen talent for a live broadcast to over two hundred thousand people during a week-long, video game marathon that frequently raises over $3 million for Doctors without Borders as well as the Prevent Cancer Foundation. In addition, she has had extensive experience working as a Beauty Advisor for cosmetic retailer, Ulta Beauty. Here she learned how to accurately color-match clients, as well as how to properly complement the complex diversity of different skin types and facial structures by using different shapes, colors, and techniques. Soon she realized that she wanted to help make people feel beautiful not just for one day. After discovering the beautiful long-lasting effects of microblading and permanent makeup, she realized this was what she was meant to do! With her high attention to detail, steady hand, and keen eye for design, she was going to master the craft and help men and women feel beautiful every single day by enhancing their natural features with cosmetic tattoo artistry! She began by becoming certified by the most prestigious microblading academy in the world, the Phi Academy. She worked side by side alongside craft master, Danny Dang, who ensured her work was that of Phi-quality. She also gained certifications from Brow Envy Academy with Amber Harrison, and completed Jill Hoyer's extensive Inside Needle Knowledge training.
